Snow Theora - BIG File by HeroPill Snow Theora - BIG File by HeroPill
Got a 'mention' and realized I haven't uploaded this yet. Anyways, I scoured around my sta.sh and finally found it - wow, this dates back all the way to last year's April (the Free-Commissions era) and it still looks cool (puns unintended) so hey, up you go online!

===

A character commissioned by pawcanada on the early months of 2013. This is Snow and she (obviously) has snow-like abilities! You can find out more about her awesome 'coldness' on said deviant's page.

I forgot to mention that I also love the background, both the darken, ice cave-like area around her (which even if it wasn't intentional, works great as it fits in with her back story) as well as the ice scukpture around her feet.

Looking at this piece again, it's still as amazing now as it was back in April. Thanks again for drawing this :D

For starters I love how you drew her face. The expression suits her perfectly and I have to say, is a perfect example of the cartoony style I am ultimately aiming for.

The attention to details on the clothes is also brilliant and I do love the pallet you used (the reason why my pic has a blue overly is due to an ice effect I tried that failed). As I mentioned in my most recent piece, I've adopted it as a variant to use on her in the future as I really like how it ooks.

I also love how you did both the ice effect around her hand and the axe, as well as the sculpted ice design for the axe. Again, it's something I hope to do whenmy own skills improve.

All in all, as I said, this is an amazing piece of my OC and I find it to be very inspiring to the evolution of my own skills, giving me ideas and concepts I need to include in my own work to get better.

Thank you again for doing this; I'll need to keep my eyes open for when you next do paid commissions as I'd love to see your take on some of my other OCs.

I'm aware this is a late reply from me (as I have seen away to keep up with busy schedules), but as I said, I'm happy you like this and I'm glad it's been an inspiration for you!

I'm planning on another round of free commissions so sure, I'd love to test my skills on your other OCs when that time comes. So, until then... :D

Nah it's fine; I understand that life can get in the way of things at times times :).

And that is very tempting to be honest. I can think of a character I'd be keen to see your take on.

Well the one I have in mind at the moment is the psychic femme fatal Noir - fav.me/d69moil. I drew this a little over a year back and my good friend toonartist took a stab at her a few months later, creating this variation fav.me/d6i4coi. I've yet to draw/finish a newer Noir piece but I do consider toonartist's design to be the main one due to the extra details and ideas he offered, so if you fancy taking a stab at her you're more than welcome to.

Out of interest, do you have a journal listing your prices for paid commissions? As much as I love free requests, I do like to commission artists when I get a chance.

Oh, wow. She does look awesome! Sure, she'd be fun to draw.

Ah, well, I don't have an official price-tag for commissions just yet. But if you do insist on paid commissions, I only temporarily accept DA points as I still haven't straightened out my Paypal account... If that's fine with you, I'll send a li'l note with details about my Points Commissions list.

But for now, since I'm not so keen on getting any sort of payment today, I'll be doing your OC Noir for free. The practice is what I'm after.

Awesome :D. I forgot to say, if you wish to stick to either of the designs I presented, you're more than welcome to but I'm also open to the idea of you just taking it and doing something completely different in terms of her design. If you have any questions, please feel free to run them past me :).

I'm afraid I don't deal in points, at least at the moment. I've only amassed 49 through a handful of donations, "support other artist" style accounts and lama trades. I personally prefer to use money as I feel there is a more obvious value on how much I would be spending, so it's easier to work it out alongside rent, bills, food etc. If however you do sort out your Paypal please let me know :). And I can understand that angle. I do like the idea of requests as they can allow you a chance to try out new ideas and concepts you may not have considered before, as well as getting the practice :).

Alright then!
I can't promise an exact date on when I can show you the renders, but I'll make sure to keep you updated as soon as I've done something worth mentioning.
Hm, well her design is interesting enough so I'll stick with that. Since toonartist's design pretty much has all of your deviation's features and plus a few more stuff, I'll focus a bit more on his take.

And that's ok, as I said, I don't really need payment right now. But I will however let you know if my Paypal's straightened out. Gonna have to pay the bills sometime, right? =P
